Are You Ready?

Be BOLD

Take RISKS

Live life FREELY

Trust your GUT

Say what you FEEL

Mean what you SAY

Express GRATITUDE

Believe in your POWER

Exceed your EXPECTATIONS

These are just a few of our favorite things to say each and every day in our home. What language do you speak? What words do you often say to yourself, in your home (towards family), or to people at work or people you met?

It is amazing to me how many of us don't realize how powerful our words are. They can either be like sweet honey on the tongue or as painful as an unexpected paper cut in the oddest place. And we all know how downright painful the smallest things can sometimes be. Right?

More than any habit we need to change, changing our habit by making a new commitment to the words we think and speak is the most important commitment of all.

I know this so well. As a busy mum, I can get frustrated with my little ones from time to time. My girls have the energy of every super hero's powers rolled into one - and they have this energy that seems to last 24 hours a day. Even as I'm writing now, at our public library, they are swamping around asking me questions. The kid's library is huge with so many fun interactive games, computers, puzzles, and of course books! My kids are no stranger to it. In fact, it's like a second home to them as my husband brings them here every day after school. Yet here we are - and they have knocked my computer twice, stepped on my feet, and interrupted me severely times. Before we entered the library, I informed them in the car that we would be here for an hour. They knew this morning at home that I wanted to change up my writing environment today and that I agreed that they could join me IF they were on their best behavior. :) They've settled down now, kind of, but what I found most revealing was the use of language I used towards them. I sounded short and I knew it. I caught myself, found them something that would keep them busy - and smiled. This seems like another blog lesson, but my point is each and every day I practice better ways to engage with them. They are my life teachers after all.

Back to the point...

2020 is the year of transformation, and today is the day to envision what that means to you and write your manifestation out. It's time to add value and light into the world through your talents and most importantly through your words.

Are you ready to step into the highest version of you? If so, it starts with your words.

Author, Will Bowen's taught a great lesson in shaping our words by simply wearing a bracelet for 21 days. Every time you complain or speak out of term, you switch the bracelet to the other hand. The goal is to keep the bracelet on one hand for 21 days. I like this idea and am practicing it myself to better my language and love towards others. To stop complaining and start creating go to Will Bowen's website and join the Complaint Free Challenge. https://www.willbowen.com/complaintfree/.

I leave you with a quote from Dr. Suess

Today you are you!

That's truer than true.

There is no one alive who is you-er than you!

That's right! There is no one like you. So remember...

Be BOLD

Take RISKS

Live life FREELY

Trust your GUT

Mean what you SAY

Express GRATITUDE

Believe in your POWER

Exceed your EXPECTATIONS
