Every leader has an opportunity to leave an organization stronger than they found it.​

That has quietly become the question that has guided my life, my leadership, and my service.

How can I leave this place, and the people within it, better than I found them?

That question has followed me through every chapter of my life.

Whether I was serving on mission trips, leading television productions, building businesses, mentoring Realtors, or serving my local Network, there has always been one thread woven throughout my journey.

It was a thread my mother quietly instilled in me as a little girl. A belief that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. Because when people know they matter, something remarkable happens. They begin to believe in themselves. They discover gifts they didn't know they possessed. They step into leadership they never imagined possible.

I have been incredibly blessed to have leaders do exactly that for me.

Throughout my life, people have tapped me on the shoulder and seen something in me before I could see it in myself. They challenged me to stretch beyond what felt comfortable. To say yes when I wasn't certain I was ready. Looking back, I realize that every meaningful opportunity in my life began because someone believed in me first.

That is why I believe so deeply in developing leaders.

​

I've watched extraordinary women do the very same thing within our own organization. Leaders like Ann Defries accepted opportunities to serve because they believed they could make a greater impact, even when their path didn't follow what some might consider the traditional sequence of offices. Leadership isn't defined by following a particular sequence. It's defined by a willingness to step forward where you can make the greatest contribution. Others have answered that same call through different paths of service, each bringing their unique gifts to Women's Council. Those journeys remind me that while our paths may not all look the same, our purpose is the same: to serve this organization with integrity and leave it stronger for those who follow.

Today, I am answering that same call. Not because I am seeking a title. But because I believe I have something meaningful to contribute. As I look across our state, I don't simply see local Networks, budgets, or leadership positions. I see people. Volunteers who generously give their time. Leaders who are stepping outside their comfort zones. Strategic Partners who believe in our mission. Members who are searching for connection, growth, and a place where they truly belong. Those people are the reason I am running for State Treasurer.

I have tremendous respect for the leaders who have come before us. Their stewardship, their vision, and the systems they established have created the strong foundation we stand upon today. I believe we honor that legacy by serving with integrity, protecting the resources entrusted to us, and thoughtfully preparing our organization for the future.

If entrusted with the opportunity to serve, I will embrace that responsibility with humility, integrity, and a deep respect for the trust you place in me.

​

I believe stewardship extends far beyond finances. Every budget represents people. Every investment represents an opportunity. Every financial decision has the power to strengthen a local Network, support a volunteer, develop a future leader, and create lasting value for our members.

​

To me, serving as your State Treasurer is about more than responsibly managing the financial resources entrusted to our organization. It is about thoughtfully investing those resources in the mission we all believe in and in the people who bring that mission to life every day.

​

Corporate leadership taught me how to build organizations. Volunteer leadership taught me that people are always the greatest investment we can make. I have seen firsthand that when people feel supported, equipped, and valued, they accomplish extraordinary things. Strong organizations are built when we invest in the growth of the people within them.

That is the kind of stewardship I hope to bring to Women's Council of Realtors Florida. Stewardship that honors the legacy of those who have come before us, protects the resources entrusted to us today, and thoughtfully prepares our organization for the leaders who will serve tomorrow.

Because I believe the greatest legacy we leave is not found in the offices we hold. It is found in the people we encourage, the leaders we develop, and the organization we leave stronger than we found it.

​

It has always been about creating an environment where people can flourish. Where local Networks feel supported. Where leaders are equipped to grow. Where collaboration is celebrated. Where every volunteer knows their contribution matters. And where the next generation of leaders is encouraged to step forward with confidence.

​

If there is one thing I hope to leave behind, it isn't simply balanced budgets or sound financial stewardship.

I hope to leave behind more confident leaders. Stronger Networks. And a culture where people feel empowered to discover gifts they may not yet see in themselves. Because that has been the greatest gift others have given to me.

​

I also recognize that no State Officer serves alone. Our greatest successes come when we work together, united by a shared vision and a common purpose.

​

It would be an incredible honor to serve alongside incoming Madam President Katherine Sakkis, President-Elect Mindy Rovillo, First Vice President LaurieAnne Minoff, and State Liason Angel Decker. Each of these remarkable leaders brings unique strengths, experience, and a deep commitment to Women's Council. Together, I believe we have an opportunity to build upon the strong foundation laid by those who came before us while continuing to strengthen our Networks, develop future leaders, and serve our members with excellence.
